EVA ( Ethylene vinyl acetate) - a mixture of polyethylene (plastic bag) and vinyl acetate (phonograph record) plastics. One of the materials used frequently used in the midsoles of sneakers; it's softer but less durable than polyurethane.
Heel - The bottom back part of a boot or shoe that provides elevation. The styling and construction of a heel may vary (i.e., cuban, flat, high, kitten, low, narrow, negative, platform, spiked, stacked, steel, stilletto, sculptured, and wedge).
Midsole - The portion of the footwear between the upper and the outersole that adds cushioning.
Nubuck - This is a grain leather that has been brushed on the surface to create a very fine velvet-like style. The texture of nubuck is finer than suede.
Leather - The processed hide or skin of an animal with the fur or feathers removed that is tanned and used to manufacture jackets, totes, handbags, furniture, coats, skirts, pants, wallets, backpacks, briefcases, and other accessories.
Casual - Comfortable and suitable for wearing for informal occasions or events (typos - casaul, casua, casul, and cassual).
